Decluttering My Life!
Since having children I have noticed an increasing amount of clutter around my house. What I have also noticed is that recently this clutter was starting to cause me a significant amount of stress.
When I would try and sit down to do some work and look around at my surroundings – I felt stressed. When I finished my day and would tidy up the mess – I felt stressed.
I also noticed I was starting to take my frustration out on my husband and children. Finally, the other day I decided enough was enough. I’d heard of decluttering and from the little I knew about it I decided that it sounded exactly like what I needed!
So I started my journey of decluttering. From researching tips about how to go about it… to starting to make my way through the piles of stuff. And wow! It has been absolutely amazing! Suddenly, instead of feeling frustrated and stressed when my husband gets home from work, I find myself excited and eager to tell him about all the stuff I’ve cleared out that day.
Instead of pointing out all the mess and asking him to help me more, I find myself excitedly showing him my newly cleared bookcase (yes…it’s the little things in life).
If you want to see my journey of decluttering and the tips I used to make an overwhelming task one that was relatively stress-free (and even enjoyable at times), check out the video below.
